The Appleyard Lees Velo offers two stunning routes that leave from Broughton Hall, take in the Dales and provide an opportunity to tackle some infamous Yorkshire climbs.
Route 1 – 53 miles:
Route 1 takes riders through jaw-dropping scenery over Malham Cove climb. After stopping to refuel at our feed station it’s a rolling road back to HQ, with the option to attack Lothersdale climb on the run-in before lunch.
Route 2 – 38 miles:
Route 2 also allows you to tackle the Malham Cove climb. After the feed station you’ll enjoy nipping through Yorkshire’s best cycling roads and picturesque Yorkshire Village before heading back to HQ for lunch.
Challenge 1 – Malham:
Malham Cove starts from the village where the road begins to steepen.
Challenge 2 – Netherghyll:
Keep something in the tank for the short but steep climb to Lothersdale before you return to the HQ.
